# Deadline and Questionnaire Time: What Happens When They End?

## Deadline to Respond

- The deadline appears on the Dashboard (**Respond by** (date), **X days left** or **Last day**) and on the application.
- After the deadline, the request is removed from the Dashboard and the application shows **Deadline ended on** (date).
- If the deadline ends while you are answering, a message appears: **The deadline to answer this questionnaire has expired. Your answers filled in so far have been saved.**
- Only the company can set a new date. When they change the deadline, you receive an email.

## Question Time

- Some questions have a time limit, shown as **TIME REMAINING**.
- When time runs out, the site saves automatically and moves to the next question. For multiple choice questions, any choice not saved does not count; for text questions, whatever you wrote up to that point is submitted.
- In form questionnaires (all questions on the same page), the time applies to the entire form. When time ends, a message appears: **Response time is over!** and the form is submitted as is.

## Before You Start

- Read the **Guidelines**: they inform if there are timed questions and whether you can go back to a previous answer.
- In one-question-at-a-time mode, you cannot return to the previous question.
- Save each answer before time runs out.

## Missed the Deadline or Time Was Too Short

Deadline and time are set by the hiring company. Ask them for another chance through the **Question about the job** (when enabled) or by contacting them directly. Empregare support does not reopen questionnaires.
